Mike Joseph - Career Summary

Mike Joseph has an honours degree in Chemical Engineering.

Originally Mike started in IT working for the petro-chemicals contractor MW Kellogg writing software for the design of chemical plant.  From there he moved to another in the same field, Bechtel.

In the mid-1980s he had the opportunity to work in the City as a contractor within a team prior to Big Bang (deregulation of the Stock Exchange).  From there his experience has encompassed software for user administration, financial, satellite communications, legal and pharmaceutical fields.  Latterly he has worked as an Oracle DBA, mostly for BT but also for organisations like The Financial Times and Global Asset Management.

Mike has worked in all stages of the development cycle and his main speciality has been in ensuring systems were robust and in particular backup and recovery. He now designs bespoke web pages.
